Evolution Beverage was founded by three industry veterans with a combined 60+ years experience at all three tiers of the wine and spirits industry. Our team has extensive theoretical, and more importantly, practical knowledge of brand building in the beverage alcohol industry.

Consolidation at the supplier and wholesale levels and the massive surge of craft products has led to challenges for independent brands fighting for share of mind at the distributor and retail levels. As a premier sales platform, Evolution Beverage helps independent brands navigate this increasingly competitive environment.

Jon started his career as a Brand Manager for InBev in 2002, before transitioning into wine & spirits sales management with Southern Wine & Spirits where he worked for thirteen years. With his extensive experience in the space, Jon’s primary focus with Evolution is distributor management.

Johnathan Picard
Founding Partner
After beginning his career on the distributor side in Ohio in 2001, John then helped build Patrón Spirits for 8 years in Ohio/Michigan, and subsequently New York. His passion for building young brands in a competitive marketplace is the lynchpin of Evolution Beverage, where he overseas client relations and sales management.

Tom Michaelsen

In 2004, Tom started at a distributorship in New York before moving on to posts at Future Brands, and William Grant & Sons. Tom’s career took him toward marketing and brand development in 2010. At Evolution, he maintains a focus on integrating sales and marketing interests.
